Explore Comic and Anime drawing ▪ Learn how to draw and develop characters ▪ Learn how to tell a story with images for comic book strips or pages ▪ Develop simple but effective techniques to create a character model like what is created in animation studios ▪ Learn how to use ink and colour techniques, and how to create dynamic poses ▪ Learn how to develop, build, and export your digital artworks through design apps and software including Procreate, Clip Studio, Photoshop, Krita, and more. ▪ Perhaps you want to learn how to create and manipulate an image? Maybe you have a series of digital artworks but are not sure how to create files? Or maybe you want to upskill for your art practice or business? ▪ Explore new and traditional styles and techniques to create art pieces, small projects, or work towards something big. We can guide you and help you build your skills and create at your own pace. There is always something new to explore and create. What you need to bring: Drawing materials are supplied. However, you are welcome to bring your own. For digital illustration, please bring an iPad and Apple Pencil, and have the Procreate app downloaded on your device. Alternatively, you can use a similar device with your preferred digital drawing app downloaded, and a compatible stylus pen. Artist tutor: Maurilio DNA Internationally Awarded comic book artist based in Tasmania, Maurilio DNA specialises in Manga, Japanese-style comics. With works published in Brazil, he has over 20 years of experience teaching drawing, comic book illustration and animation. He will teach some professional techniques on how to create your visual narrative, express your character’s emotions and have fun telling your stories.
