Service Description

Get creative with colour and pattern in our Hand-Painted Textiles Workshop! Experiment with fabric paints, brushes, and techniques to make your own unique textile art. Bring a piece you’d love to upcycle, or use our supplied fabrics—it’s all about having fun and making something truly your own. The techniques you’ll learn are simple and easily transferable to continue creating at home. 10am – 3pm (includes a half hour lunch break. BYO lunch (there is a microwave, crockery and cutlery) Skill level: suitable for beginners + Artist: Becca Smith Becca is a textile designer and maker based in Tasmania. She creates hand-painted fabrics that become one-of-a-kind garments and accessories. Her workshop offers a chance to learn how to create your own painted textiles, through stencilling and playful mark making. All equipment and materials provided, including a basic fabric length, but you may like to bring your own fabric or item of clothing to paint on.
