Service Description
Foreshortening is a way to render an object or figure that shows its depth. When we draw something that’s foreshortened it looks compressed and can be hard to see and draw correctly. At some point in your drawing ‘journey’ you will be challenged by foreshortening. In this workshop you will be taken through the basic strategies that make a foreshortened challenge successful. Skill level: you will need some prior experience with drawing the figure Age group: 16+ (Please note there will be a nude model) Time: 10am – 3pm with a break for lunch. BYO lunch (there is a fridge and microwave) Artist Bio: Michael Nay is a teacher and artist whose studio practice includes Painting and Drawing. Michael has studied and taught painting and drawing throughout his life, and in recent years has taught introductory to advanced painting and drawing at TAFE and University. Michael is passionate about drawing the human figure, object composition, architecture, landscape and travel journaling in a variety of wet and dry mediums. All equipment and materials provided.
